  1. Attention Battlefield Platoon!

Arriving at the end of the Summer, the highly anticipated In The Name Of The Tsar expansion will be available for Battlefield 1 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.

The upcoming DLC, will focus highly on the Eastern Front of World War I as well as the Russian Army. EA described the expansion by stating, "Enter the war’s biggest front with the Russian army and fight in snow-covered ravines and a freezing archipelago in 4 new maps".

The DLC is speculated to cost $14.99 USD for non-premium members and will be included in the premium pass for those who have purchased it. The DLC is speculated to include 4 New Maps, 5 New Weapons, New Vehicles, as well as the Russian Army faction. New Codex Entries and Dog Tags will also be introduced. The expansion pack will most likely raise the level cap to 120 from the current cap of 110.

EA also announced they will be revealing their "first look" at the expansion at their EA play event scheduled for June 10th. It has been rumored that premium pass users will be able to play the expansion at the time, but it has not been confirmed. The expansion will most likely not be apart of the upcoming May or June monthly updates that EA has announced.

    New Weapons!

Although no weapons have been confirmed by DICE yet, speculation has it that 5 new weapons will be introduced into the game.

    • Parabellum MG14
      • A redesign of the MG 08, the Parabellum MG14 was a 7.9mm machine gun utilized in World War 1 intended for use on Aircraft and Zeppelins.
    • Fedorov Avtomat
      • A 6.5x50mm Infantry Rifle issued to Russian Troops in 1915.
    • Double Barrel Shotgun
      • 12 Gauge, 2 Cartridge Shotgun used by all sides during WW1.
    • Mosin-Nagant
      • A 7.62mm Marksman Rifle used by Russian Forces before and after WW1.
*These are just speculations relating to the expansion and have yet to be confirmed by EA.

    New Maps!

Not a lot of information is currently known about the upcoming maps, EA has confirmed that there will be a total of 4 new maps.

    • Galicia (Eastern Europe) set during the Brusilov Offensive
    • Freezing Archipelagos set during the Albion Assault
    • Snow Covered Ravines at Lupkow Pass
*Again this is just speculation regarding the new maps and has yet to be confirmed.

1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death

A female scout character will be playable in the new DLC according to EA. 15 All-Female Battalions were established in 1917, but only two made it to the front lines. One of those being the 1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death.

    Concept Artwork!
